CARBON FOREST INVITED BY THE FRENCH BANK CREDIT AGRICOLE MAINE-ANJOU
At its Annual General Meeting, Crédit Agricole du Maine-Anjou decided to highlight solutions to reduce its carbon footprint. It is on this theme that Mr Pascal YVON, as an eco-responsible entrepreneur of the department, spoke to a room composed mainly of farmers. Far from the conventional wisdom, it is not only the workers on the land who emit greenhouse gases, foresters are also guilty of sending carbon back into the atmosphere when they practice clearcut silviculture. Supported by the pioneering work of the Sorbonne University laboratory, directed by Professor Luc ABBADIE, CARBON FOREST + advocates a sustainable and natural coverage of forest areas to allow biodiversity and nature to develop without the harmful intervention of clear-cutting.
