CARBON FOREST SIGN WITH AVENTIM IN CHANTILLY
CARBON FOREST + is honoured to present its historic partnership with the property developer AVENTIM and the INSTITUT DE FRANCE on the Forêt de Chantilly. Victim of an unprecedented forestry crisis, the Forêt de Chantilly was in desperate need of financial aid to help it meet the unprecedented climate challenges of one of France’s cultural gems. This castle, dating from the Middle Ages, was rebuilt in the 18th century on the ruins of the French Revolution, to regain its former glory. The water mirrors made by André Le Nôtre, Louis XIV’s gardener, and the vast property were bequeathed to the INSTITUT DE FRANCE in 1886 by the Duke of Aumale and are today a true legacy of the artistic prowess of our History. It is with the common goal of preserving the estate that the property developer AVENTIM, the specialist in responsible forest management CARBON FOREST and the INSTITUT DE FRANCE have joined forces to promote sustainable and responsible forest management.
CARBON FOREST struggles every day to find local actors who act for the preservation of their social and cultural heritage. Our model tries to respond as well as possible to contemporary problems by improving biodiversity and forest yield. It is by acting rigorously and with the support of our partners that we can put in place such initiatives to ensure a bright future for our environmental and cultural heritage.
